History
Our chemical pre-treatments include but are not limited to: Vapor Degreasing, Alkaline & Acidic Cleaning, Etching, Heavy Zinc, Calcium-modified Zinc and Iron Phosphates as well as conversion coating pre-treatments for aluminum. With our state-of-the-art fully automated finishing lines we are able to process parts in either bulk-barrel or rack scenarios. Our large variety of uniquely incorporated mechanical pre-treatment paraphernalia provides us with the power and versatility of blasting stubbornly stained or heavily oxided substrates to an acceptable level of cleanliness and or surface profile prior to coating. Our equipment capabilities here are, but not limited to: Various size; Manual Hand Blast Cabinets, High Pressure Air Assist Tumble Blasters, High Speed & Large Capacity Semi-Automated Continuous Belt Blasters and Burnishing, Polishing and Honing equipment employing a massive inventory of various medias, technically utilized to provide the surface finish and profile required. We also possess several specialized strip lines that will chemically remove the most tenacious polymeric soils and or pre-applied coatings or films on substrates such as but not limited to most any ferrous or non-ferrous metal, fiberglass, plastic, rubber and or elastomeric substrate.
We employ a large number of functional films, coatings and adhesives such as but not limited to: Epoxy Adhesives, Dry Film Lubricants, Various primer systems and various coatings that supply attributes such as; Heat Resistance, Corrosion Resistance and Wear Resistance containing chemical traits such as; Resin Bonded Fluorocarbon, Epoxy, Teflon, to name a few.
Utilizing a vast collection of hi-tech precision high or low volume producing coating equipment provides us the leading edge in supplying high quality coatings in a most production efficient and cost effective manner. Such equipment capabilities are, but are not limited to; Multi-Functional Fully Automated Spindle Lines, Hand Spray Booths, Tumble Sprayers, Roll Coaters, Rotary Tables, and Dip-Spin technology.
ISO 9001 certified. (Certification attached) UCI was founded on the platform of “Quality is Job #1” and we pride and prove ourselves to that characteristic everyday. Do to the fact that most all of our work is of a precision nature we employ only the highest degree of scientific analysis technology available when testing in process or outbound product. All systems are automated, monitored, controlled and recorded with absolute traceability 24/7/365. This equipment in conjunction with the commitment and expertise of our Quality Control and Quality Assurance personnel insures our customers a premium quality finish every time, all the time.
At Universal Coating we have always been environmentally conscientious. Our waste waters are processed through a specialized high volume automated water treatment system prior to discharge to the sewer. The air contamination, do to chemical inherent VOC emittance, is processed through a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer prior to being released into the atmosphere.
